Weekly paper and football club make new signing

The Gravesend Messenger has become the official media partner of Gravesend & Northfleet Football Club.

The paper and the Nationwide Conference side have signed an agreement which will give the Messenger exclusive news and a regular column by manager Liam Daish.

The link, which will help the Fleet to target new fans from across Kent, is seen as a massive benefit to the club.

Gravesend Messenger editor Denise Eaton said: "The club has its roots firmly in the area we serve and is a vital part of the community of Gravesham.

"We hope this deal will herald the start of a long and profitable relationship with the club as they bid for Football League status."

Under the terms of the deal, the Gravesend Messenger will be covering everything from the club's youth and women's teams through to the first team. There will also be regular competitions and other promotions.
