After nearly 40 years working for the Boston Standard, reporter Pam Browne has filed her final report and is moving to its sister title, the Horncastle News, where she will work part-time.
Pam began as a trainee at the Standard in 1968 before leaving for the Tamworth Herald four years later. She returned to Boston in 1977 before taking time out to have a family, then operated as a freelance before joining the company again in 1990. Her various roles have included reporter, news editor and deputy editor.


A prolific house raider who publicly apologised to his victims through the Torquay Herald Express has been spared a four-and-a-half year jail term.
The defendant, who wrote to the Herald Express saying he was in hiding doing "cold turkey" from his heroin habit, apologised for the burglaries and said he was going to give himself up.


Investigative journalist David Leigh is to take up a role as professor of reporting at City University in London.
