Associated Northcliffe Digital has appointed Mike Rowley in a new role as digital director for ThisisLondon.co.uk and the “thisis” network of 30 regional news and information sites.
At ThisisLondon.co.uk he will continue to build on the success of the recent relaunch of the website, while at "thisis", he will team up with digital managing editor Robert Hardie to develop Northcliffe Newspapers' digital activities, while also working closely with Northcliffe's regional managing directors and their teams. A former digital director of the Evening Standard, Mike has more than 20 years of experience in newspaper and magazine publishing.

The British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies has launched a new e-zine, Credit, which is distributed to 11,000 image buyers.
Each edition will feature articles from image library and image buyer perspectives, the first edition celebrating the ‘Year of the Specialist Collection’.
Despite most image research today taking place online; there is still a huge amount of undigitised material, which can be uncovered simply by talking to a specialist, who Credit says can offer a wealth of information and advice - as well as the perfect picture.

Cash raised by jogging journalist Emma Reeves, of the Welwyn and Hatfield Times, has been swollen to £1,291.10, thanks to a £300 cheque from mortgage company First Union.
Emma completed the 13.1 mile Great North Run course from Newcastle to South Shields in 2h 17m in aid of the Isabel Hospice.
