The winners of HoldtheFrontPage’s competition to win a top-of-the-range SANYO digital dictation machine have been named as Roz Carr and Michael Gordon-Smith.
They both correctly answered the question: ‘Under which Act of Parliament is it illegal to make any audio recording in court?’.
The answer is the Contempt of Court Act 1981.
Roz and Michael will each receive a SANYO ICR 1000 digital dictation machine worth £229.
The ICR 1000 comes with a 256Mb removable SD memory card – the largest size available as standard on the market today, enabling up to 35.5 hours continuous recording.
Other features include a Cue Index and Cue Search for quick and easy location of recordings, remaining record time indicator, three playback speeds and insert/overwrite record setting.
The Voice Activation offers hands free recording and there is an earphone/microphone socket for discreet recording and playback. It also comes with a mini USB connection for the PC for fast and secure download.
