Topping out ceremony held at journalists' new care home

A topping out ceremony has been held at The Journalists' Charity's new £3.9m care home.

News International executive chairman Les Hinton put the final slate on the roof in place, marking a key milestone in the charity's efforts to rebuild the home in Dorking in Surrey.

The building work is due to be completed in March next year.

Nick Jones, chairman of The Journalists' Charity, welcomed Les Hinton (pictured) as a thank you to the group for pledging "significantly serious money" to the rebuilding project.
