Double wedding bell joy for Star news staff

The Ipswich Evening Star newsroom is celebrating double wedding bell joy, with two blushing bride news girls tying the knot.

Crime reporter Kate Boxell and her boss, deputy news editor Jessica Nicholls, both celebrated their weddings within two weeks of each other.

Jessica married editorial production team leader Neil Gallagher after they met while working at the Royston Crow, while Kate married sweetheart Kevin Gooding.

  • For Kate, her big day marked the end of nearly a year as one of the Archant paper's columnists charting her thoughts and her excitement as she prepared for her wedding.

Star editor Nigel Pickover said: "Our congratulations go to our two brilliant journalists, Jess and to Kate, and I'd like to wish them and their partners all the very best for the future."

    Both couples live in Ipswich.
