Archant Life has launched of a second 'Pure' county title, Pure Lancashire, a bi-monthly magazine aimed at the county's up and coming residents.
It follows Pure Cheshire, launched earlier this summer, and will be edited by Paul Mackenzie, who has extensive experience as a feature writer on Lancashire Life and previously as news editor at The Gazette, in Blackpool.
Archant Life's northern division also publishes titles in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, the Lake District, the Peak District, County Durham and Leicestershire.


The Barry & District News is claiming a nation-wide scoop with its story of the postie who was suspended for advising customers on how to avoid junk mail.
It was five days after the front page splash in the News that the story went national, dominating both print and broadcast news agendas.

A complaint about an opinion poll that was misrepresented in the Evening Standard has resulted in the article in question being removed from the paper’s website – and internal library files marked to make an error clear.
The paper had been challenged over the analysis of a Populus opinion poll after it stated that as many disabled people as non-disabled were in favour of retaining Routemaster buses, whereas the poll had only identified respondents who had a disabled relative. Transport for London also complained that a remark had been inaccurately attributed to its spokesman.


A marathon paddle in canoes by Newsquest ad rep Russell Topham and four friends earned a fantastic £1,209 for a cancer charity.
Russell, the motors supervisor at the Salisbury Journal, travelled the full distance of the River Stour from the source to sea - approximately 60 miles - in three days, sponsored by many of his colleagues at the Journal to raise cash for Cancerbackup.
