Terry Holder has been appointed chairman of Guernsey Press Co.
He takes over from John Averty, chief executive of the Guiton Group, owner of the Guernsey Press and Jersey Evening Post. Terry will also act as publisher of the Guernsey Press, working alongside the management team in an advisory and consultative role.
John Averty has been appointed publisher of the Jersey Evening Post, and will continue as its chairman.


Amy Bould, (32), is the new business editor at the Shropshire Star, moving from the newsdesk, where she was deputy news editor for three years.
She joined the paper in 1996 at the Ketley head office and became chief reporter in 1998.


A photographer hailed as the first to take aerial shots of north-east Scotland has died, aged 82.

Former Birmingham Post & Mail photographer Angela Hill has died aged 66.
She took up photography after a promising show jumping career was cut short by injury, and went on to enjoy a career at the Post & Mail and then the Express & Star in Wolverhampton, before setting up the photography workshop and study centre The Photographers’ Place in the Peak District.
