The wife of a cancer-stricken father helped by readers of The Argus in Brighton has written an open letter to thank them for their support.
Almost £80,000 has been raised since the paper revealed in April that Neil Cooper, from Portslade, needed help to pay for pioneering chemotherapy treatment which would give him the chance to spend more precious time with his wife Wendy and baby daughter Caitlin.
And it is proving to be money well spent as recent scans have shown his tumours are shrinking.
In a moving tribute, his wife Wendy said the money raised had ensured the world still had "one very wonderful man".
