Reunion for long-lost brothers is thanks to Telegraph article

Reader John Gregory's plea for help from the Derby Telegraph's Bygones section has sparked a reunion for three long lost brothers.

After not seeing his brothers Ron and Terry Warren since his mother's funeral, more than 20 years ago, they were reunited thanks to Ron's daughter Annette, recognising her uncle's name. She contacted the paper to get in touch with the uncle she had never met.

John, (55), the youngest of seven brothers said: "When you've got your own family to bring up you can easily lose contact with everybody else. I wrote to Bygones trying to find former residents of St Helens Street, where I and my brothers grew up."

Ron, (75), said: "I was apprehensive. I kept waking up in the night wondering what he would look like."

Terry, (66), spoke about his excitement about the reunion. "I was really excited because I used to do a lot with Ron, he used to take me everywhere," he said.
