Staff at a West Wales weekly swung into action after a tragic double drowning happened on their patch the day after they went to press.

The three-strong news team at the Cardigan-based Tivy-Side Advertiser produced a four-page special edition wrap in just three hours - complete with pictures and interviews with the victims' family plus local reaction - which was printed and back on sale in the area that night.

Editor Aneurin Evans said: "It was a real example of local journalism at its very best.

"At 9am we didn't even know the names of the victims – but by noon it was all wrapped up and on the press.

"I can't praise my team highly enough."

Brothers Terry Dixon, (56), and Tony, (48), died while fishing off rocks at Mwnt.
