The Oxford Mail has teamed up with Oxford United, which lost its football league status at the end of last season, to launch the Oxford Loyal wristband.
Readers are being encouraged to buy the yellow silicone bands - which have the paper's masthead and club's logo on them - to show their support for the team as they prepare for a promotion fight.
And profits from sales will be split between the Oxford Children's Hospital Campaign and Oxford United's youth development scheme.

Mail news editor Jason Collie said: "We're hoping that they will become the must-have fashion accessory.
"We sold 100 in the first few hours and they are continuing to sell like hot cakes.
"One of our street sellers has even sold more than 100 in the city centre and they are proving to be quite a hit."
The bands - which also bear the words 'Oxford Loyal' - are on sale for £1 each at the paper's Osney Mead head office, its district offices in Witney, Banbury and Bicester, as well as local retailers.
