Gazette vehicles form guard of honour for footy fans' coaches

The Evening Gazette put on a show of its own to prove it goes "all the way" to support promoted football team Colchester United.

Gazette delivery vans provided an honour guard for the fleet of fans' coaches setting off on the A12 for the long journey to Yeovil on Saturday morning.

Fans had planned a convoy of blue, white and yellow along the M3 and A303, with coaches stopping to meet up with fans travelling by car at the Fleet service station.

The team – already promoted to the Championship as League One runners-up – drew 0-0 with Yeovil at Huish Park, with the away fans swelling the gate to 8,785.
