Exclusive pictures of Reading players celebrating the football club's promotion to the Premiership appeared on a special Evening Post wraparound front page as the paper joined in the revelry.

The 135-year-old club's ascent to top-flight football for the first time in its history gave way to scenes of euphoria across the town.

The paper was the only one allowed access to the players' dressing room as celebrations got underway.

And Evening Post photographers were on hand to capture the moment, resulting in ten pages of coverage yesterday.
