'Dream come true' for new Sunday Sun editor

Colin Patterson has been appointed editor of the Sunday Sun in Newcastle.

Previously deputy editor of the Trinity Mirror paper, he had been acting editor since January when his predecessor, Peter Montellier, became associate editor of sister paper The Journal.

Colin, (46), has worked for the Sunday Sun for a total of 13 years in two separate stints, joining as a sub-editor and also working as chief sub and assistant editor.
