Teaching award for former journalist

Former journalist Rebecca Eliahoo has won a teaching award for her new career as a lecturer at Harrow College.

She has received the Teaching Fellowship from the University of Westminster, which is a reward for excellence in teaching and learning.

Now part of the teacher training department at the college, Rebecca was previously a journalist, freelancing for newspapers such as the Guardian and the Times and writing for marketing and design magazines.

She also taught journalism to many reporters who began their careers at the Harrow Times and Watford Observer.

The awards are in their first year and are judged by a panel from the university.
