A team of dedicated runners from the Somerset County Gazette in Taunton will be taking part in the town's annual half marathon next month.

Editor-in-chief Ken Bird and chief reporter Phil Hill are among the volunteers who will be raising funds for the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment.

The event takes place alongside the full marathon, on Sunday, April 2.

Other runners include reporters Helen Rossiter and Jean Tilley, motors manager Bev Joyce and Hailey Escott from the promotions team.

All the team have been pounding the local roads and working out in the gym in preparation for the event.
