Gene Kelly's widow has revealed details about her life with the late film star to audiences in Glasgow, during a trip to the city organised by the Evening Times.
Patricia Kelly flew to Glasgow from LA after an invitation from features editor Russell Leadbetter.
He spoke to Patricia (pictured) after she contacted the paper about a photograph of Gene, taken in 1953, featured in the paper's 'Picture This' archive photographic exhibition.
At the time of the exhibition staff didn't know why Gene would have been in Glasgow, but Patricia revealed that he was scouting locations for his next film, Brigadoon.
While speaking to Russell she also mentioned that she often gave talks across the US about her life with Gene and, never one to pass on an opportunity, Russell asked her if she would come to Glasgow.
The newspaper arranged flights and accommodation for her, and during a two-day trip she spoke to two sold-out audiences at the Mitchell Library and spoke to students at Glasgow's School of Dance, Scottish Youth Theatre and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Patricia said she had had a brilliant time in Glasgow, loved meeting the students and the audiences, and was willing to repeat the experience at a later date.
