Skip Walker has been appointed as editor of the Cirencester-based weekly, the Wilts & Gloucestershire Standard.
Skip is returning to the Standard after an absence of ten years, during which time she has been editor of the Stroud News & Journal and of the Gloucestershire Gazette series.

She said: "I have always had a passion for the Standard and the stunning area of the Cotswolds it covers and I am thrilled to be back.
"It is a terrific news area and a huge amount of change is taking place in the Cotswolds at the moment.
"I consider myself very lucky."
Skip is the first person to have been editor of all three of the Gloucestershire paid-for weekly titles, all of which are owned by Newsquest.
