Former colleagues who worked together in the South Wales Argus newsroom 20 years ago have been reunited.
More than 30 journalists who worked at the paper during the 1980s spent an evening reminiscing and catching up on news.
Among those who attended the event at the Irish Club in Pilgwenlly, Newport, was freelance Jackie Huybs, formerly known as Jackie Woods.
She organised the get-together and was joined by journalists who are now working for the Western Mail and South Wales Echo and the BBC in Cardiff.
Others have moved into PR or teaching, while some have remained at the Argus and now hold senior positions on the paper.
Jackie said: "It was a fantastic night.
"There were about 30 of us there in the end, and those who sent their apologies included a former colleague now working for Radio New Zealand and one based in Los Angeles.
"There were people no longer with us who were greatly missed on the evening, like news editor Tom Ellis, features editor Jo Type, and journalists Norrie Drummond, Mike Rice and Nick Lewis - all of whom were great characters and died well before they should have.
"Everyone agreed we didn't want to wait another 20 years before meeting up again and there's every chance it could become an annual event."
