Magazine launched to woo affluent readers

A new lifestyle magazine has been launched in North Wales, aimed at the affluent ABC1 market.

North Wales Living is published by North Wales Newspapers and 20,000 copies of the 132-page glossy went into distribution on Thursday.

The October edition was delivered by post to 8,000 homes across North Wales with a further 9,500 going to retailers across the patch for free pick-up.

The remainder were being hand delivered to a target audience by the company's promotions team.

Additional promotional activity included a local radio advertising campaign and wraps on the company's free newspapers.

The November edition will be on sale at £2.50.

Publishing director Graham Breeze said: "North Wales Living is an aspirational magazine for a local audience with content to reflect our readers' lives and interests.

"Our aim is to deliver the right audience to our advertisers. To achieve this we offer a very high standard magazine packed with articles by award-winning journalists. We are looking to attract an audience with the disposable income to invest in the goods and services featured by our advertisers."

Graham has appointed award-winning journalist Don Hale as editor of the new publication, and said: "Don is passionate about this launch and has the professionalism to ensure it is successful."
