Sports editor Clare Daniels has returned from Canada where she refereed a women's international rugby tournament involving current world champions New Zealand.

Clare, who works for Mid Somerset Newspapers in Wells, is also a qualified rugger referee, and couldn't resist the challenge when she was invited to scrum on over for the Canada Cup.

The trip saw her become one of only two people picked to referee the tournament.
