The newsroom of the Yorkshire Evening Post filled with disbelief and excitement at a huge breaking story on its patch, as the hunt for the London bombers turned to Leeds.
The newspaper was able to be first with the news that police raids were taking place in several city streets.
The news broke shortly before its first edition after a tip-off from a contact.
Confident in the quality of the tip-off, a planned splash about an 11-month old boy killed by a dog was moved inside and two reporters and two photographers were immediately sent to the scene of the raid.
Reporters in the office made further phone calls to check what was happening.
