Chronicle MD elected president of the Newspaper Society

Barnsley Chronicle managing director Sir Nicholas Hewitt has been elected as the next president of the Newspaper Society.

Sir Nicholas (pictured), who is also chairman of the Chronicle, has been vice-president for the past year and will take over from Stephen Parker on July 1.
