A body found near Ben Nevis in Scotland has been formally identified as missing journalist Gavin Nightingale.
Gavin, (38), from Colchester, worked for Essex County Newspapers, where he was in charge of sub-editing the Colchester Evening Gazette's sister weekly papers across north and mid Essex.
He went missing in February during a visit to the area, where he had planned a trip on the north side of Ben Nevis.
He was an experienced and well-equipped climber who spent much of his time away from work climbing and hill-walking. He left his personal belongings at Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, where he was staying - but left no details of where he was going.
Initial searches were hampered by bad weather and his body was discovered on April 30 by a couple out walking.
