News man Parker set to leave Express & Star

Keith Parker, managing director of the Express & Star in Wolverhampton, has told of his plans to retire later this year - but says he won't be giving up his links with the industry just yet.

Keith, (64), has been managing director of the Express & Star since 2002, and has previously been editor of Wolverhampton-based title, as well as its sister paper, the Shropshire Star.

But even though he will officially retire at the end of June - after 48 years with parent company the Midland News Association - Keith says he will still be "keeping his hand in".

He said: "It's been great fun - I've had a ball and there is still more to do."
