Deputy editor to run marathon in memory of trusty training partner

Scunthorpe Telegraph deputy editor Jane Manning will be taking part in her third London Marathon later this month - but this year the race will hold special significance for her.

Jane, (40), lost her trusty training partner - her beloved dog Mozart - to cancer last October, and as a tribute to him she will be running to raise money to fund research into a vaccine to treat other dogs suffering from the illness.

Mo, as he was affectionately known, was Jane's constant companion and friend and well known to a large number of people who saw him happily running alongside her on her training sessions.
