Journalist couple launch PR company

Former regional press journalists Nick and Lucy Mason have launched their own public relations and marketing company.

The couple have set up Mason Media after returning to live in the North-West after a number of years in London, and are hoping to use their media background to help them target the right journalists and get results for their clients.

Nick, (34), has previously worked at the Chester Chronicle, South Wales Echo and Northern Echo.

He is also a former deputy news editor and northern news editor of the Daily Mail.

Lucy, who is also known as Lucy Shakeshaft and is also 34, has worked for the Lancashire Evening Post and South Wales Echo, and was a staff journalist at the Mail in the late 90s before going freelance.
