Regional press continues to dig deep for tsunami victims

The Scotsman has joined the growing number of newspapers that have pledged to donate the proceeds of the cover price for a day's sales to the Indian Ocean tsunami appeal.
Wednesday's circulation sales revenue from this week will boost the Disasters Emergency Committee fund, as the paper matches the generous response from its readers.

The Citizen held a special service for the victims of the Asian tsunami at Gloucester Cathedral.
Features editor Victoria Temple, who was in Sri Lanka when the tsunami struck on Boxing Day, was among those to give a reading during the hour-long service.
The newspaper's Quake Appeal has now topped £130,000.
