Staff at the Evening Press in York have been praised in the paper's own obituary columns for the way they reported a tragic death.
The newspaper told how 23-year-old Daniel Addeyman collapsed and died in his bedroom hours after walking his dog.
His parents struggled in vain to revive their apparently fit and healthy son who dreamed of a career in motor sport design and engineering.
Following the death Evening Press reporter Charlotte Percival wrote a touching Page One splash headlined Death Riddle, which included tributes from the dead man's former teachers, and the newspaper was later invited to cover the funeral.
Now, in an acknowledgement in the Evening Press's classified section, Daniel's family have thanked Charlotte and her colleagues for their "sensitive reporting and discreet coverage of Dan's Celebration of Life."
