Northcliffe Newspaper's Ken Thompson is to chair this year's Newspaper Society Employment Law Seminar.
The group personnel resources director will lead discussions on hot topics such as developments in discrimination and unfair dismissal laws.
A number of employment law experts specialising in law practice, publishing and training will also speak at the event, which will be held at the Royal Society for the Arts on November 4.
Jeanne Rossouw, legal advisor employment and human resources in the Society's Political Editorial & Regulatory Affairs department, said: "The past year has seen a number of important employment law developments, particularly in the areas of dismissal/dispute resolution and discrimination law.
"The coming year promises to introduce even more challenges for those with responsibility for human resources in the workplace, when the Information and Consultation Directive is implemented in the UK.
"Once again, the speakers for this seminar all have wide-ranging experience as employment law practitioners and trainers. We are fortunate to be able to draw from their expertise, and are confident that participants will find their input helpful both for legal compliance and future practice."
