Sister titles joint effort sees readers 'bowled over'

The Brentwood Gazette and Essex Chronicle have unveiled a new look weekly motoring section.

New editorial platforms and a new design from the company's creative studio, incorporating the use of cut outs and white space, have been used in the launch issue.

The two newspapers had previously carried separate motoring sections, but following the relaxation of the block exemption rules these have now been merged.

Advertisement director Malcolm White said he was delighted with the outcome, and that further development is planned.

He said: "Motor dealers have been bowled over with our new section and future plans.

"The 32 pages in the launch issue are a testament to great co-operation of many departments here in Essex."
