Veteran journalist Snow to entertain media colleagues

Journalist and TV presenter Jon Snow is to be the guest speaker at the latest celebrity lunch hosted by the Birmingham Press Club.

The Channel Four anchorman, who first made his name as a war correspondent in the 1970s, will address guests from the media world at the October 12 event - timed to coincide with the launch of his autobiography, Shooting History.

The lunch will be held at Birmingham's Burlington Hotel, and is being sponsored by Lloyds TSB Corporate.

Relationship director, Mark Brotherton said: "Jon Snow is one of the best known news presenters on television today.

"His career spans three decades, and he will no doubt be able to entertain us with a wide range of interesting tales and anecdotes from that time."

Tickets for the event are available from Tony Bell on 0121 450 4220, and cost £25 for press club members, and £30 for non-members.
