The Surrey Institute of Art & Design is holding a special open day to allow prospective students to see its award-winning journalism degree course in action.

The event at the Institute's Farnham campus on Wednesday, September 15 will allow students and parents to meet staff, explore newsrooms and broadcasting studios and hear about studying for the degree, with a view to a career in journalism.

The industry-accredited course is one the longest established journalism degrees in the UK and last year a group of students from the course won a commendation in the National Magazine Academy for their 24-page interior design magazine, In Search Of.
