Archant Regional director of production John Ford is training hard for a 100-mile cycle challenge in September.
John (pictured) is raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by taking part in the Wessex 100 on September 12.
He said: "It's a 100-mile course that starts and finishes in the Cathedral City of Salisbury.
"It follows a testing route around Salisbury Plain, up the legendary Brassknocker Hill in Bath and returns past the lions of Longleat and along the Wylye Valley."
John is hoping his colleagues at Archant will offer their support in his bid to raise as much as he can for the cause which needs £15m for a gene therapy research project.
To date £8.5m has been raised through a number of fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns.
John has set a fundraising target of £1,000 and is inviting sponsors to donate cash online at www.justgiving.com/johnford.
He hopes to increase the money he raises by applying for Archant Gold match funding.
