The sky's the limit for wing-walking Gina

Essex Enquirer reporter Gina Marden (right) proved that the sky's the limit when she took to the air for a breath-taking wing-walking stunt.

The daredevil journalist joined the Utterly Butterly Wingwalkers at the Southend Airshow after volunteering for the challenge as part of the regional newspaper's regular Learn How To... feature.

After a short briefing Gina, (24), was whisked away by the only professional wingwalking team in Europe and soon had her head in the clouds, waving from the top wing of a 1940s Boeing Stearman biplane.

Gina said: "It was brilliant, I loved it.

"I was a bit nervous at first but as soon as I was up on the wing I was fine."

During the stunt Gina flew through the air at 500ft at speeds of up to 100mph.

Gina said: "When I first saw the little seat I thought 'oh my God, what am I doing!'

"But you get a great buzz and I'd do it all again tomorrow."
