The England and Wales Cricket Board has appointed The Press Association, the national news agency for the UK and Ireland, to provide the editorial management for its official website, which re-launches in spring 2004.
A dedicated team, based at PA's sport headquarters in Howden, East Yorkshire, will be responsible for generating and editing bespoke news, features and official data for the site in liaison with the ECB.

Newspapers wishing to increase their credibility and build relationships with readers ought to send short questionnaires to everyone who appears in a story, according to Jim Chisholm, director of the Shaping the Future of the Newspaper project for the World Association of Newspapers.
He believes the questionnaire should ask if the facts were correct, if their interpretation was fair, and whether there is any more to the story to be told - but he conceded many editors would resist attempts to introduce modern measurement techniques into their newsrooms.

Associated Newspapers has bought Jobsite, the multi-sector online job board in a £36m deal, as part of its continuing strategy to develop a powerful portfolio of digital media properties.
Andrew Hart, managing director of Associated New Media said: "Jobsite is a rare gem, an online company that has been profitable for nine years thanks to the quality and experience of the management team."
