New weekly hits city streets

A new weekly paper has hit the streets of West Fife, published by the Dunfermline Press Group.

Dunfermline City Life will be published every Tuesday, complementing its well-established sister paper, the Dunfermline Press, which is published every Thursday.

The new 32-page paid-for paper is packed with local news, leisure and entertainment-based news and features, as well as a comprehensive weekly what's on guide, seven-day TV listings and a weekend sports report.

Chief executive of Dunfermline Press Group, Deirdre Romanes, said, "I'm absolutely delighted with our latest launch.

"It's a strong, colourful, vibrant local title, delivering an all-round comprehensive entertainments and what's-on package for our fiercely loyal customer base in the Dunfermline area.

"It will complement our established title, the Dunfermline Press, which has witnessed consistent unrivalled sales growth during the past five years of over 8.5 per cent.

"The successful combination of the two local titles will certainly prove a hit with readers and advertisers alike.

"We now have the complete package satisfying the whole market in the Dunfermline area; Dunfermline City Life on a Tuesday and Dunfermline Press on a Thursday."
