Owen to step aside from electronic publishing role

The managing director of Northcliffe Electronic Publishing, Owen Davies, is stepping down from the role at the end of March.

He plans to pursue his career outside the company.

Northcliffe group managing director Kevin Beatty said: "Owen has made a significant contribution during his time with us both in the development of the group finance function and its digital publishing activities.

"He has also played a very valuable role as a board director."

He said it was with regret that he made the announcement and would be sorry to see him leave.

NEP is the electronic publishing division of Northcliffe Newspapers, which among other activities operates 19 on-line communities under the this is… brand.

Owen is also a director of Fish4, a classified internet business owned by a consortium of major UK regional newspaper publishers.
