The Manchester Evening News has announced that two of its senior management team have joined the board.
Julie Tattersall, who is head of newspaper sales, is now newspaper sales director, and financial controller Howard Standen has been made finance director.


The Evening Gazette has had a tour of one of the now famous ghost ships to get a closer insight into what might be on board the condemned vessels, which have travelled from America.
A deal struck to dismantle the ships on Teesside caused horror among environmental campaigners, who felt toxins would be released when the materials were dumped. But the Gazette stood up in favour of the work - and the jobs it would secure for locals.


Public tours of the Western Mail offices and its new press site are now in full swing.
Visitors can see journalists at work and watch the papers being printed thanks to easy access from a dedicated visitor centre.


Exmouth Journal reporter Becca Gliddon doorstepped the editor of The Sun - as she enjoyed a brainstorming session on a holiday camp at Devon Cliffs holiday park.
As well as Rebekah Wade, there were also four Page 3 girls and forty members of the Sun's staff there.

The man who 'discovered' Tony Blair has had his biography published by The Northern Echo.The Grit in the Oyster, named following a comment that former Labour leader Neil Kinnock made about John Burton, has been written by local author Keith Proud and edited by The Northern Echo's political editor Chris Lloyd.
