Shock horror! - Editor replaced by bear

The bear-faced cheek of it! A Newsquest editor popped out of his office for a few moments and was instantly usurped - by a yellow bear.

Children In Need mascot Pudsey staged the coup during a tour of the Argus headquarters in Newport to promote this year's BBC telethon appeal.

He is pictured taking control of the hotseat normally occupied by Argus editor Gerry Keighley.

Staff were left wondering, though, if Pudsey's outfit was quite in keeping with the newsroom dress code.
