Weekly's staff are on an all time high!

Staff at The Hinckley Times are celebrating after hitting an all-time-high sales figure last week.

It sold a record 19,949 copies - nearly 500 more than its previous best.

Editor Paul Webb said sales were boosted by a popular My First Day At School supplement.

He said: "Our normal sale is around 18,500 a week and we have been increasing our ABC figures for the last 13 consecutive six-monthly periods.

"Last year the supplement enabled us to sell 19,514 copies but to outstrip that this year by nearly 500 is quite something.

"Our photographers went out to all the primary schools in our circulation area and pictured a total of more than 1,100 youngsters who started their education this term.

"It is always a superb supplement, printed separately on higher-grade paper, and always gives us our best sale of the year."
