Journalists are being discouraged from using misleading terminology with regard to asylum seekers.
The Press Complaints Commission says the use of language - particularly phrases like "illegal asylum seeker", of which there is no such thing in law - had led to a number of breaches of its editors' Code of Practice.


Copies of the Lindsey Observer from 1854 to 1857, and the Lincolnshire Chronicle and General Advertiser between 1833 and 1837 are being microfilmed for Grimsby reference library by the Newsplan 200 project.
