Oldham Evening Chronicle journalist Roger Halstead has become the first recipient of a Golden Boot award from Oldham Rugby League Club's official supporters' club.
The rugby league writer has worked at the Chronicle since 1961, and the award recognises Roger's devotion to the sport.

The Liverpool Echo Sunrise Fund has raised £66,735 in its first year.
Readers of the paper have helped raise the money by taking part in a series of madcap events, and one of its own reporters, Scott Faulkner, jumped out of a plane on Friday the 13th in aid of the fund.
The cash has been split between several Liverpool charities.
