Chance for journalists to party

More than 200 journalists are expected to gather later this month for the Birmingham Press Club's annual ball.

The black-tie event will be a chance for the great and the good of the West Midlands media scene to get together for a night of networking, drinking and dancing.

Entertainment will be provided by five piece band The Herbz, which helped launch Jools Holland's Jam House venue.

The ball, which starts at 7.30, takes place on Friday, October 24 at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham city centre.

Tickets cost £32 for press club members and £39 for non-members. To book call 0121 237 3081 or 07968 094343.
