News staff's hairy ordeal comes to an end

Staff at the Daily Echo in Bournemouth have returned to their silky smooth selves after taking part in hairy challenge which helped raise hundreds of pounds for charity.

Twelve staff at the paper's Richmond Hill headquarters pledged to bin their razors and grow a moustache for a month to support Everyman, the male cancer charity campaign.

Taking part in the Tacheback Challenge was Daily Echo editor Neal Butterworth, along with editorial staff Lyndon Hogg, Neil Meldrum, Scott Harrison, Steve Wilson, Andrew Chappell, Roan Fair and Robin Thompkins (pictured above).

They were joined by newspaper sales manager Steve Court, along with colleague Robin Hancox and telephone sales executive James Leavett.

Neal said: "We were really keen to support a very worthy cause, but it turned out to be a very long month for us all."
