Welsh move for Echo man

David Hardy is to become the new editor of the Carmarthen Journal.

Currently assistant editor of the Gloucestershire Echo, he will join the Welsh title on October 6.

He will take over from Alan Osborn who is retiring after 20 years as editor.

David, (42), has worked at the Gloucestershire Echo since 1990, joining the paper as a sub editor, and has been assistant editor for the past nine years.
