NS marketing staff take on new roles

The Newspaper Society's marketing departing department is ringing the changes following the appointment of marketing director Russell Collier last month.

Advertising affairs executive Michael Brennan has taken on the newly-created role of advertising and marketing manager.

He will head a team responsible for developing relationships with advertising agencies, increasing the regional press share of national advertising revenue and providing best practice advice and support for local advertising departments.

Research and commercial manager Alison White has also taken on a more senior role, and will oversee a team responsible for all commercial activities, which include the industry's conferences and awards and the Society's Feature Link service.

The Newspaper Society says the changes reflect a strong focus on generating new business for its members.
