A former managing director of the South Wales Evening Post has died following a battle with cancer.

Garry Rouse, who retired in 1993, had been diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year.

He started work with the company in 1985 and lived in Pontardawe during his time with the Post.

He leaves a widow, Pam.

His funeral will be held at St Bartholomew's Church in Crewkerne, Somerset, on Friday.
