Journalism hopeful Andy Plowman is the latest trainee reporter to be taken on by the Evening Press in York, after proving he has the Write Stuff.
Andy, (21), scooped the job after winning a competition run by the newspaper to find the best new journalism talent in the area.

The English language and linguistics graduate was chosen after initially writing a local news story about a music competition.
He then battled it out with six other finalists who were put through their paces with a series of exercises testing their spelling, local general knowledge and their ability to go out and find a story on the streets of York.
He came up trumps with a story about a dance scheme, spotting the activity going on in the city and using his initiative to find out more.
There was also a mock press conference following a fictitious crime.
He joined the paper yesterday and will take up a place on a Newsquest training course in September.
Evening Press assistant editor Chris Buxton said: "We were delighted at the number of people who entered the competition this year, and impressed with the exceptional calibre of all the entrants.
"Well done to Andy."
